Ever booked an exercise class and then cancel at the last minute as anxiety got the better of you? Do thoughts like ‘I’m not fit enough’ or ‘I am too tired’ ‘Say if I am the only new one there’ come into mind.
I have had all these battles, I then used to hide at the back in hope that the ‘Perfect’ instructor doesn’t spot me.
These were all battles I faced, but at the end of each class I would always be so happy that I went along and the endorphins would work their magic.
There is no denying it Fitness classes are AMAZING! They are a great way to socialise, learn and achieve something, whilst getting all the benefits from exercise. So next time you book on don’t cancel! Go and if you really don’t like it you can always leave (I would let the instructor know why you left after). Also as an instructor I can tell you we are not perfect (I mean look at the socks 😂) If you have any worries speak to your instructor and they will go through things with you.
