It has always seemed strange to me when guitars in the $3000+ price range still come with plastic bridge pins, nuts, and saddles. It's a small upgrade that results in a louder, more defined acoustic guitar tone. Replace the plastic with bone = more mojo and tone!
Cool asymmetric back bracing on the newly redesigned Taylor 814. It's amazing how much money you can spend on a guitar and still get plastic bridge pins, nut and saddle... We fabricate custom fit nut and saddles out of real buffalo bone, and supply bone bridge pins as well. Tone to the bone!
