Are you connected?

Love and kisses after all, check check
Ok, this week I learnt about protecting that connection with our children.
What does ‘being connected with my child mean to me’? I want to create a BOND with LOVE. I want a solid UNION with my children. I want a mutual TRUST. I want them to know that they can count on me always.
Protecting and nurturing that connection is at its hardest when things aren’t going your way.
They want to learn to explore and try new things, but sometimes that comes with risk and danger. As much as you want to nail their feet to the floor, you need to give them room to fall and learn. They also need to know you will always be there to help them up.. The knee jerk reaction to want to tear strips off them when they rebel needs to be restrained and anger converted to trying understand the why instead.
Through all altercations we need to protect that relationship as much as we can and find the reasons for acting out.
Take stock of lifestyle changes that may be affecting behaviour and make any changes needed.
Keep them as close as you can.
