Day 22: New Techniques
I've been wanting to try the Eisenhower Matrix since I learnt my friend @kirstensthoughts_bujo uses them on her weekly spread. Thanks for the inspiration Kirsten :)
Eisenhower (34th President of the United States) sounds like he was pretty busy! During his time in office, two terms from 1953 to 1961; he launched programs that directly led to the development of the Interstate Highway System in the United States, the launch of the internet (DARPA), the exploration of space (NASA), and the peaceful use of alternative energy sources (Atomic Energy Act). Phew!! .
The Eisenhower Matrix breaks done tasks into four categories:
1. Urgent and important (tasks you will do immediately).
2. Important, but not urgent (tasks you will schedule to do later).
3. Urgent, but not important (tasks you will delegate to someone else).
4. Neither urgent nor important (tasks that you will eliminate)
My first attempt this afternoon involved all my tasks going into categories 1 and 2. By the time I did the exercise it was late in the day and I only had time to tick one of my tasks done. But hey, I'm set for tomorrow! .
What new productivity hacks have you tried lately?
