TARA’S TIP TUESDAY | BURPEEEES
I love burpees. Yep, I said it. Pushups make me feel like a badass and I love to jump, so boom there’s two in one deal. I also love bodyweight cardio that’s not just running. Although, I ran yesterday you guys, that was a big moment for me. Let’s talk about the do’s and don’ts of a burpee and do more burpees today!
> warm up beforehand
> pace yourself
> challenge yourself but know your level, I will show how to modify this in my story today!
> keep your elbows back in the pushup
> have fun, and repeat
> just drop your whole body on the ground
> bring your head up before your hips
> drop your head, keep your chin lifted to maintain a neutral spine
> be sloppy, just because this is a cardio/quick-paced move doesn’t mean you’re form should be thrown out the window
> get mad at the trainer telling you to do them, they are good for you
If burpees are totally new to you, I will be showing you how to progress them next week! Make sure you check back to see how you can improve your next burpees. If you hate them, do them more.
