This is completely out of my comfort zone, and I'm actually super embarrassed to be posting these. My Day 1 photos of my 90 day Transformation Challenge. I've struggled for so long with body image. Day 3 of getting up super early to get my workout in, very thankful for this trip but I'd be lying if I said it has been easy 😱 last night, there were only 2 options for the main course at dinner (salmon or pork) I picked the salmon but it was served with a lot of starch I can't eat right now 😭 ate only the fish and everything was ok until everyone besides me was eating a Smores cake πŸŽ‚ it takes a lot of willpower from me to refuse sweets but I did it, had a black coffee and stuck to the plan (ofc my husband let me smell his cakeπŸ˜‚)#eyesontheprize #TeamTess #bodysystemsnutrition #bodysystemstransformationchallenge #firsttimebikinicompetitor

Parmesan Zucchini Bites πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘…
β€’ 3 yellow zucchini (quartered lengthwise)
β€’ 1 tsp olive oil (use a basting brush to spread on the zucchini)
β€’ Mix 1/4 cup Parmesan (light), 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp thyme, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. β€’ Spread dried mix on a plate and coat the sides (not the outside- doesn't really stick) then sprinkle any extra over top
β€’ Bake on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes- finishing (crisping them up) on broil for an extra 2-3 minutes at the end!
β€’ And enjoy! Approx 150 calories for the WHOLE PLATE πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ» yum πŸ‘… .

At the beginning of my fitness journey, I felt like I saw so much physical change, that now sometimes I overlook how far I've come. Lately I feel I've hit a growth plateau. At times I even feel like I'm losing my gains πŸ™ˆ

And then I look at pictures like these and am reminded of the hours of consistent training, meal prep and mental strength I've endured. I've come so far from the unhealthy girl on the left. This is such a huge motivator for myself - time to make more gains. .

NOTE: pic # 2 shows how much growth my legs have had (which honestly i didnt think was that much), but those shorts were LOOSE, and they definitely are no longer loose. πŸ‘Š

How to avoid overeating? DON'T UNDER EAT!
When you try to starve yourself, you're much more likely to overeat or binge. Especially if you are restricting, hungry all day, then come home and just find yourself wanting to eat EVERYTHING- you probably will! And because you're hangry and irrational, you probably won't make as good food choices as if you were to just plan something healthy and filling to eat. Personally I love using veggies to get volume in from my food! Because they are a lot less calorie dense you can have WAY MORE, just be careful about fattening dressings and stick to something like balsamic! I had a huge bowl of Zoodle Salad (184 cal total) πŸ₯— πŸ˜‹ swipe right to see what I put in it! (I also added salt, pepper, a clove of garlic, and lemon juice!) .
