Why is it that a 220lb male could have a 12% body fat and another 220lb male could have 34% body fat...? Well it’s clearly that! Excess body fat! Period! There is a way to decrease this and become healthier

💪🏻You can either build muscle, or lose fat... and both if you’re super strict!
.
🔥Body fat can be divided into two categories: Essential fat and storage (non-essential) fat.
.
💪🏻For men, essential fat accounts for approximately 3% of body weight. However, ladies need a higher percentage of essential fat, about 12%. This includes gender-specific fat found in the breasts, pelvis, hips and thighs which are important for normal reproductive function.

🔥Storage (non-essential) fat on the other hand is the type of fat we accumulate under the skin, in certain specific areas inside your body, and in your muscles. It does include some deep fat which protects our internal organs from injury but it brings back some gender equity with men and women equally susceptible to storage fat.

💪🏻Remember, body fat percentage isn’t everything, but it can be a gauge to truly see where your body fat is at & if you want to make some changes to your habits & nutrition.

So today we had minute testing @__geminifitness we done this on the first day of our challenge and we are now halfway or almost halfway through and was that time again!! I am so happy to say that I beat all my times today, I can now fit a jumper that I couldn’t fit when I first started, and I feel great about myself!!! It’s not about beating anyone else or trying to be better than anyone, it’s about being better than what you were yesterday, and I feel that I am accomplishing that!! My journey hasn’t been as smooth the last few weeks with my diet over the weekends, it’s not that I eat horrible everything does still fit in my macros, however there is always room for improvement 🙌 it’s Monday it’s a fresh week, my advice for you or anyone struggling on their journey; never give up keep going, who cares if you slip up or stumble we are human it happens, move on and keep going...results WILL happen ❤️ #reshapeyourfuture #geminifitness #geminichallenge #GFF #progressnotperfection
