Do you have any pillbox hats? I have one but it is too delicate to wear.
Pillbox hats are hats that are shaped like the top caps of pill bottles, and usually worn by women. The modern version of the pillbox hat was created in the 1930s and gained popularity due to its simplicity and elegance. They were mostly designed in solid colors, though some would be accessorized with a veil. Throughout the Kennedy Administration in 1961-1963, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was known for her signature pillbox hats. Mrs. Kennedy had her pillbox hats designed by Halston and she was wearing a pink one the day of her husband’s assassination on November 22nd, 1963. The hat was last handed to Mrs. Kennedy’s personal secretary Mary Gallagher who won’t discuss its whereabouts, but wrote in her memoir, “While standing there I was handed Jackie's pillbox hat and couldn't help noticing the strands of her hair beneath the hat pin. I could almost visualize her yanking it from her head.”
