My latest A1c was better than last time! Still can be lower but my doctor was happy. I know my problem is bolusing far enough in advance before meals so my body is ready to digest the carbs when they hit. 19 years in and still figuring it out! (Ps it's so scary and vulnerable to post this stuff! But I want others to see it and feel like they aren't alone in fighting for good BGs 👊🏼)

Что то с утра подгрузилась от некоторых сообщений в #direct .
Суть : пишет мне женщина ,мол:" я без понятия ,что делать ,но жизнь идёт вниз и все это из за проклятого диабета . Из за него -я не могу спокойно жить,у меня нет работы , сахара -уже и забыла ,когда они были в норме. Вот подскажи - как тебе удаётся держать их в норме??" Увидя это сообщение я решила не отвечать(!) в моем мини блоге полно жизненных историй ,мотиваций и советов ,которые,как показывает "практика" многим помогли !-спасибо им за обратную связь.
Далее в пустоту идёт сообщение " ой ,все с вами понятно ! Вы просто очередной спамер,который внушает людям ,что ничего страшного в диабете нет! "
От этих слов у меня сердце сжалось ... я очень ответственно отношусь к тому ,что здесь пишу ,а пишу ,как вы заметили, с простых слов ,о том,что происходит со мной в данный миг!
Я НИКОГДА НЕ ПОНИМАЛА И НЕ БУДУ ПОНИМАТЬ(дай бог) людей ,которые винят всех и всё в жизни ,кроме самого себя!
Я сотню раз писала здесь,что #СД мне дал жизнь, новые возможности! И я пытаюсь это донести до каждого! Не только до диабетика(!) Я каждый месяц строю не заоблачные планы,что бы они 100% совершились,но ставлю их конкретно. Диабет тому не помеха,если же за ним следить и уметь с ним дружить.
Когда в юности я забивала здоровенный хер на #СД мне не то,что бы лень все было-я тупела на глазах... в прочем,вы и по себе знаете такие моменты,когда от высокого сахара -вы в апатии ... Так что ЖИВИТЕ,А НЕ СУЩЕСТВУЙТЕ! ВАШ МИР ЗАВИСИТ ТОЛЬКО ОТ ВАС САМИХ,А НЕ ОТ БЛИЗКИХ И ДРУЗЕЙ!

One of my biggest #t1d struggles is maintaining #bloodsugar levels while doing cardio. I had gotten myself in this ⬆️⬇️ carb/insulin cycle 🔁 and then I read a great article from @beyondtype1daily and just wanted to share in case anyone else was struggling with this issue as well. "You plan to do an activity first thing in the morning, whether it’s a walk, a run or bike ride. How much do you eat?What do you eat? For any activity less than 60 minutes, it’s perfectly okay to eat nothing. The reason for this is that your body has an amount of stored up glucose (glycogen) that it can access for approximately an hour. This means you don’t need to consume carbohydrate immediately to sustain this activity and it also means you won’t need insulin prior to or during which means you can burn more fat. (Insulin tells the body to store fat and burn carbohydrates – a resource you are already carrying stored in the muscles.) If you are in fact hungry and need to eat prior to your activity, you should consume a small amount of good fats (i.e. almonds or sliced avocado) to satiate you until you can have your first meal of the day. Good lean proteins also work well in this way however for Type 1s, some amount of insulin may be necessary which can make the fat burning session less successful." Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body. Found in bones, teeth, and red blood cells, magnesium serves as a building block for DNA and is an essential element required for proper functioning of the nervous, muscular, and cardiovascular systems.
Magnesium-Rich Foods

Sadly, magnesium levels found in our food sources are declining. This is likely due to farming practices such as using pesticides and not alternating fields between growing seasons (in efforts to produce greater crop yields), which can drain the soil of key minerals and nutrients. Choosing organic produce can help mitigate this potential loss of essential minerals.

Foods containing magnesium include whole grains, leafy green vegetables (spinach and Swiss chard are great sources), as well as almonds, cashews and other nuts, avocados, beans, and halibut. Be aware that a diet high in fat may cause less magnesium to be absorbed, and cooking may decrease the magnesium content of food.
According to the National institutes of Health (NIH), the recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) for adult males is 400-420 mg; adult females is 310-320 mg; for pregnant females 350-360 mg daily; and for breastfeeding females, 310-320 mg. Dr. Weil recommends taking magnesium with calcium, because magnesium helps in the absorption of calcium and offsets calcium’s constipating effect. Look for magnesium citrate, chelate, or glycinate, and avoid magnesium oxide, which can be irritating to the digestive tract.

Not getting enough sleep (around 7-8 hours per night) hasn't been directly linked with fat storage, however there are a few ways that inadequate sleep quantity and quality can hinder fat loss:

😴 Not getting enough sleep can negatively affect insulin sensitivity and increase risk of diabetes

😴 It can affect hunger hormones, making it easier to overeat on calories

😴 Sleep deprivation can lead to altered nutrient portioning - basically, if you are in a caloric deficit, you could be breakdown more muscle than fat, so losing weight, but not actually getting leaner

😴 Altered sleep patterns can alter the cyclical patterns of hormones such as cortisol, increasing exposure to this can affect energy levels, cravings and fat burning/muscle breakdown

😴 A lack of sleep obviously affects energy levels and how you feel on a daily basis... feel rubbish, start looking for pick-me-ups, energy boosts etc... which again can make it difficult to maintain a calorie deficit

My beautiful Bekah ~ I love her so much!! Today was her 3 month #diabetes check up and, our special lunch.

Three weeks on #Diabetic meds and feeling #amazing. Crazy to think this past year's struggles all boiled down to being #prediabetic.
