@blochau pointe shoes kindly donated by @dancestopnz in Lower Hutt. Technically these could be inspired by so many things, right down to the lilac fairy variation which my class did and I attempted last term! But a purple ribbon represents epilepsy awareness. I personally developed the condition as a side effect of my eating disorder in my early 20's. I am fortunate though-it is under control and really it only affects my career options and the fact that I'm not back flexible (seizures gave me compression fractures in my spine), however I have some amazing friends and family who aren't as fortunate. Theirs is not so easily controlled, and it can often be a really misunderstood disorder. So these are dedicated to those with epilepsy but who keep on keeping on 💜 will try film some of the details later as the purple gets darker near the heals of the shoes
