The Detroit Pistons selected sharpshooter Luke Kennard with the No. 12 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Kennard was one of the most dangerous 3-point shooter in the draft, hitting 43.8 percent at Duke on 5.4 attempts per game and had a 63.5 true shooting percentage.
The Pistons fielded one of the least efficient offenses in the NBA last offseason and Kennard obviously helps solidify their attack on the perimeter.
But the move is not without its risks. Kennard is a major defensive liability and his lack of defensive indicators, including a 6-foot-5 wingspan, mean he might not be able to keep up at the next level on either end of the floor. Harder to get a good shot off and nearly impossible to defend others. All in all i personally like this pick for Detroit, it'll add a deep threat to Pistons offense and he will fit in well with Andre Drummond.
