Overall it was a really enjoyable and tasteful look at another way Caribbeans and Africans have given the rise the cultural phenomena. I didn't get to spend a lot of time because it started to close but yes, I like the balance of the information exhibiting the social and political issues that influenced 'Black Sound', and boy am I a sucker for chronology so👌🏾👌🏾but I was grounded, focused and always returned back to.. The MUSIC!! That music 🎶 🎵🎶 @mr.booshay look what I found😁😆👍🏾👏🏾🙌🏽 You're a master.
In Brixton, I saw the "Black Sound" exhibition, which traces the history of black music in Great Britain from the earliest calypso-singing immigrants from Trinidad through to hip hop and UK grime. A nice touch is at the end, where there are tapes and a boombox and vintage issues of The Face to flip through, which made me feel like a kid in his bedroom.
