I've seen this woman become the first black woman to own a large business, in my city. I've seen her become the first Black Montessori headmistress, I've seen her make millions and defy every antiquated archetype of what it mean to be a Black woman. I've seen her do so many amazing things and I couldn't be any prouder. Until she sent me this picture of her, this morning, marching for my rights, the rights of my partner and the rights of our unborn daughters. I knew my Mom was pretty super, but it's dope to know she's also a Super Hero.
