I am so thankful for this room! It currently has train tracks spread out everywhere and that reminds me again of what a blessing this house is to our kids. At our old house, they couldn't have left them spread out without us tripping all over it. We definitely wouldn't have room for such a cool piece to house and organize their toys. This was a big splurge piece, but it came along right at a time when we needed a big reminder that this house wasn't a mistake. I realize that sounds kind of silly and maybe a sign of my weak faith, but I believe God is faithful send along good gifts, like chippy furniture (or whatever kinds of things make our hearts happy), to help us hold on and keep our sanity even.
I have grumbled and complained more than my fair share this summer. Living in a construction site is hard for an impatient, OCD, introverted mom, and I haven't done a great job pushing through it. BUT we are hanging pictures on walls this weekend and we will hopefully have final construction and inspections complete within a couple of weeks. I'm scared to even say that out loud in case I jinx something! 😬God really is good and faithful! Here's to blessings in disguise!!! 🙏🏻 Sources tagged in the picture. #simplesundayslowdown #calmsimplesundays #storypiecesunday #playroom #designingforkids #farmhouseplayroom #farmhousefamilyroom #vintagefarmhouse #industrialfarmhouse #founditatthefindery #magnoliamarket #blackandwhitedecor #blackandwhitefarmhouse
