Why I go hard for @randall_woodfin
I used to work a 12 hr overnight shift at UAB..
On my lunches I would stand in the atrium of the North Pavilion praying for this city.
Any good intercessor knows the ache of what it's like to want to see God's intentional plan work for people, places, and cities.
BIRMINGHAM has always had my heart.
I'd often weep at the murder rates, lack of support, division, and racial discrimunance that had such a grip over this region.
I would ask GOD to reinstate the MANDATE of the legends that came before us.
I would say if only there were men and women my age that cared, we could change this place for the good.
In one solid conversation with Mr. Woodfin, I found the heart of every impactful reformer that ever came before him. I knew that he was one of MANY leaders needed to push this place into it's God-Ordanied purpose.
I could go on about his plans...and what he promises....but at this point..I believe that he has made that impeccably clear.
I've never seen a leader more humble.
I've never seen a leader more accessible.
I've never seen a leader more compassionate.
I've never seen a leader more qualified.
Please know we are in a shift.. regionally...nationally...globally.
Pray. Decide, and execute.
You know in your heart what is needed..
We ALL deserve better.
