Berry Bircher Bowl 😋 So fun to make and so yum!

I just made this delicious healthy breakfast option from The Healthstyle Emporium, a holistic health and nutrition program full of yummy recipes and other tips perfect for fuelling your bodies the right way💪🏼🍓🍌They are all easy, free of nasty ingredients and so delicious!
Here is the recipe if you’re interested: 
Ingredients:
65g (2/3 cup) quinoa flakes
130g (1/2 cup) natural greek or coconut yoghurt
1 apple, coarsely grated
125ml (1/2 cup) milk (soy or almond)
1 tablespoon sunflower seed kernels
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup fresh mixed berries (such as raspberries or blueberries). Directions:
Combine the quinoa flakes, yoghurt, apple, milk, sunflower seed kernels, chia seeds and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside for 5 minutes to soften. Serve topped with berries.

Have you tried our newest Mango, coconut, chia and Greek yoghurt @sunsol_muesli yet (available at major supermarkets)? Simply soak it in you favourite milk overnight to enjoy a delicious and sustaining Bircher-style breakfast. We layered ours with fresh Mango and raspberry chia jam 👇🏾, and it was SO good. .
Raspberry chia jam

2 cups raspberries
1 Tbsp rice malt syrup
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1/2 Tbsp lemon juice

Add all ingredients I a heavy based saucepan and cook over a low heat for 15 mins. Stir regularly, and if all the liquid has evaporated, add a splash of water through out the process. #sunsolwakesyouup

In the meantime a kitchen opportunity has appeased me a little, and has reminded my travelling buddy @bradjphillips of the benefits of wholefood and balanced eating. Hostel life brings with it breakfasts of white bread, jam, and sugary fruit juices. My sensitive belly means that I graciously hand my portion over, but even with 2 breakfasts Brad is hungry an hour later!
Using whole grains, keeping up fibre, and dumping the sugar will help this immensely, as will a combination of macros. Here:
Carbs - Quinoa, Banana, Oat Milk
Protein - WPI and Nuts
Fats - Nuts and Chia Seeds
