The story behind this picture is that my little Penelope drew on the beautiful ottoman I am sitting on... with a pen. It was our first painful “ruined-furniture” moment. She’s almost 3, I thought maybe we were in the clear? Yeah right haha. We cleaned it as much as we could and tried everything - e v e r y t h i n g - but a mark still remains. We rearranged things a little, because the mark is less visible in this spot, and when life gives you a new set up in your foyer, you take a picture and smile, because well, why not haha. And smiling because it’s FRIDAY, and since it’s me in front of the camera, let’s do a #fridayintroductions / life update.
Hi 👋🏻 If you’re seeing my page for the first time, my name is Gabriela and this is my little blog - Our Everydays. Inspired by motherhood and my two beautiful children, I began this journey of documenting our everydays. I am inspired by the quotidian moments of motherhood, the wonders of pregnancy and birth, and the amazing abilities of the female body. I’m an adult third culture kid raising bicultural children, and really interested in how culture influences so much of motherhood; from the way we baby wear, to the first sounds our children make depending on the language they speak, to the way their tastes and palates adjust to the food they eat. I was a stay at home mom for 3 years, and recently went back to work, and though it’s been a few months of adjustments, exploring what being a working mother means today is a subject I’ve found a lot of interest in, and will be definitely blogging about that. I love my indoor plants, French jazz, my long hair. I am bilingual and maybe will be writing some Spanish blogs soon because I need to practice haha- any Spanish speaking followers?
Thank you to the wonderful community that I have met here, and continue to meet, and thank you for following along. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend! 💛
