Another BOMB 💥 of a weekend racing Georgia Cross. After an extensive Saturday which included a collegiate, regular and relay the gorgeous course lost some of its original allure. Sunday I preceded to race the course for a 4th time for the @georgiacxseries series which was a bit overwhelming (not in a good way). 😅😵 Congrats to my speedy @scadcycling teammate Ally on taking the win and Jenna #dirtypeaches for taking the Georgia title.
On another note I am super excited for a two week break from cyclocross and lots of base miles. I feel like I have been racing for a solid two months every weekend. Combine that with an extensive short quarter of Graphic Design classes at SCAD and before you know it your mentally and physically fatigued to the extreme. I never can figure out how to balance everything. If i excel in one thing i lose strength in another aspect of my life. Sometimes you have to be happy with the results because in that moment that's all you had left. You try to keep pushing but sometimes you simply cannot tolerate the physical and mental pain you are putting yourself through in that moment.
Imagine you are hanging onto a rope; your hands become number and number until eventually the weight overcomes your physical and mental capacity to hold on. You let go but as soon as you let go you become upset that you could not withstand your hold a little longer. In biking this occurs every time your heartrate rises to the highest maintainable pace for your current fitness level...and some days you just SNAP 💥💣 😅 We are only human so logically one can only tolerate so much right. I used to think I was just being a wimp but after adding heartrate in racing I understood that I physically could not go any harder. Time for those base miles!!! 🤟🏻💜💜💜💜💜💜 @706pchicks________________ #digdeep #lifeistoughbutsoareyou
