So this is my bike, and I'm looking for any suggestions for 3 issues:
1) my back being hunched over when I sit. (I tried raising the neck stem, forks aren't long, and there's no real stem with a oryg)
2) seat has to be raised to be able to pedal. (Hopefully my drainpipe, aka: lay-back seatpost will solve this.) 3) my knee problem on the handlebars when I try to rotate the bars 360 or x-ups.
I have read about handlebars having a rise on various BMX websites. I had no idea bar rise was a thing, so I hope I am measuring the rise of the bar correctly. From what I can tell I have a 7" or 8" bar rise. If not, please correct me, I don't want to be forever dumb.
I'm open to any suggestions or input, as I haven't pulled off any flatland tricks since 2003. I mean, I am an old dinosaur who remembers GT, Dyno, Redline, and Haro bikes. (Dat 90s shit yo.) So I'm out of the loop in terms of lingo. I guess my names for parts are different today. I mean, I always called it an "orgy" (I was an asshole kid lol) or gyro... but apparently it's called a detangler or something. And it took me forever to find another GT "drainpipe" seatpost. They are now called "lay back" seatposts. You kids are killin me! 😂
I'm not trying to go pro, just trying to ride comfortably again, before really getting back into pullin off basic tricks like wheelies and indos... And maybe back into a bit of vert.
Also, excuse my voice. It's a muddled Baltimore accent. Lol
