I am proud and honored as we formally presented to the press the 🇵🇭 Participation at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale titled, “The City Who Had Two Navels,” curated by the talented and very hardworking, Dr. Edson Cabalfin, an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Interior Design, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati who is also a registered and licensed architect in the 🇵🇭. We have really come a long way as we are now on our 4th consecutive participation in the oldest and most prestigious contemporary #art platform in the 🌎. Moreover, our nat’l pavilion is housed once again, at the Artiglierie of the Arsenale, one of the main exhibition spaces of the Venice Biennale!
I extend my extreme gratefulness to the NCCA, then led by Prof. Felipe de Leon, Jr. & now Nat’l Artist Virgilio S. Almario, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Arts in Venice Biennale (PAVB) Coordinating Committee and the Italian embassy in the PH now headed by Amb. Giorgio Guglielmino for supporting me in turning my vision into reality—a vision to make the Filipino talent become part of the global contemporary art scene.
I invite everyone to witness and support this great show of Filipino talent and creativity by visiting our exhibit which will be open to the public from May 26 to November 25, 2018. #FreeSpace #Biennale #citywhohadtwonavels #biennalearchitecture2018 #architecture #art #venice @edsonix73 @nccaofficial #italy
