The finish line is in sight! And my arms were certainly getting a work out reaching up 💪🏽 the interesting thing about symmetry is that as long as it sort of looks symmetrical it doesn't matter if it ACTUALLY is... I wonder if you can spot some of the parts that are really different on each side? If you missed my recent article in @trainmag, have a read below. How to build strength workout size by isolating tendons. ⬇️

Consider a chain - it’s only as strong as its weakest link. So it is with the body, regardless of how much muscle someone possess, muscle is not the only ‘link’ in the chain of human strength.

Muscles attach to tendons, which in turn attach to bones. All three are vitally important in the chain of strength. When a muscle contracts, the tendons transmit the force of the muscle. They work to assist the delivery of power in order to move the body (and in turn weight or thing you’re attempting to move). Without strong tendons, the muscles cannot deliverer their intended force - there is a weakness in the chain.

Isometric training is a type of strength training in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during contraction (compared to concentric or eccentric contractions, called dynamic movements or full range motion exercises/training). Isometric training can help increase tendon strength and in turn allow you to become stronger overall.

Here is an example of a half range bicep curl on a preacher bench to isolate the bicep tendons. i also through in some isometric holds at the bottom of the move.

This totally wasn’t planned. But when my boy @davinderdro asks me to train arms with him, I gotta train arms. Incline dumbbell hammer curls with sets on sets on sets. Good way to switch it up from the typical exercises and a solid way to finish a workout. Training light, high volume, maximizing tension and gains. Give it a shot, let me know how it goes.
