If you get elbow pain from doing skull crushers with an EZ bar or straight bar, try doing them with dumbbells instead. Personally, I don't notice any elbow discomfort with dumbbells but the bar bothers me. One thing you need to pay attention to though is your elbows flaring out like the bottom picture here made by @rafaelsoncin. Although your elbows can certainly flare out with a bar as well as with dumbbells, I find it much easier to allow them to flare out with dumbbells. Make sure you keep your elbows straight and allow all the tension to remain on your triceps 💪🏼.
