Being under grace and not under the law does not give Christians a license to sin. That’s ridiculous! For almost 2000 years the mankind has had something more glorious than the law, Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 3:8,9) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. (Romans 10:4)
The Scripture is clear. We are not under the Mosaic law. We under grace. Does that mean the law has been abolished? Not at all. Can
you abolish the very mind of God? Of course not! The law is the very mind of God, perfect, holy, just and good. Jesus Christ is the end of the law because of what He did on the cross. For the past 2000 years Christians still fulfill the law of God but we do it with one word. “Love”. (agape) See versus below...
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:8,9,10
