I'll just take a little space here to continue my rant of 4 days ago when it was International day of the Girl. And I'll combine that with the first 2 presuppositions of NLP that I discussed 2 days ago. .
If the filters in our mind determine or perception of the world and our perception of our own truth, then adjusting those filters, means we adjust our perception of the truth, the world around us, and ourselves. .
Suppose we have a mental filter that our body is not what we wish our deserve, then our perception of the truth is our body isn't good enough. Everything we see in the world, will strengthen that perception. And everything we do will deteriorate our happiness. .
The good news, is that we can change our filters. The bad news is that it's not easy. Or actually, that's really difficult. But not impossible. My experience is that it's easiest to work in small steps. First find something positive, something that you're proud of, something you're already good at. And then work from there. .
Now, you may ask what pictures 2 and 4 are doing here. Picture 2 is a fashion sketch I made with my daughter. Because designing fashion is fun, but not just a girls thing. Because there are no girl things (mental filter!). Picture 4 is the book we read to our girls: "bedtime stories for rebel girls". Because rebel girls can achieve anything they want (mental filter!) .
The other pictures are standing postures for day 5 of #StripDownAsanas3 .
