"Having it’s waters displaced and moved to our Gardens of Eden to ensure renewable drinking water to our human populations, the former sea was left a desolate dry landscape, soon turned into a dumping site, filling the deepest parts of it’s geography to the brim, creating an enormous flatland, pockmarked with deep caves and plateaus, attracting the roaming synthetics to it’s innermost core of human and industrial refuse, left abandoned and unwatched for near a century.
Heat rises ever from the deepest depths of this sea of trash, but on it’s surface, seemingly unaffected by this, robots conduct what seem to be pointless operations, organizing and reusing trash, growing every weed and stubborn sapling into a geometrical hive. Large quasi hexagonal expanses of plastic, glass and metal constructions, with no apparent use or purpose, are surrounded by swathes of greenery in the same shapes.
Instead of attempting to create new synthetics, the dwellers of this location re-use what they can to repair themselves and when it seems the need arises for a new tool, have no qualms with giving up parts of themselves, or allowing their own destruction, to guarantee it’s creation. Presenting no apparent danger, they have been left to their own devices." #artstation #challenge #beyondhuman #scifi #futuristic #city #landscape #robots #environment #conceptart #pen #copic #art #illustration #artistsofinstagram
