With the theme “Kick-off Thru Kindness,” Bully Free Life Advocates of UE Manila held the first-ever “Peace and Progress Life Summit” last January 25-26 at the Auditorium 1, Dr. Lucio Tan Building.
The two-day summit, organized by the UE-Manila Guidance and Counselling Office and Bully-Free advocates, aims to show students the significant role of kindness and a well-rounded persona in individual empowerment as well as in the country’s growth and advancement.
Speakers during the affair included Hon. Kit Belmonte of the 6th District of Quezon City, Rachelle Kong, Executive Director of Success Options Inc., Mary Jane Valero, first Vice President of PSBank, Mark Conrad Ravanzo, Chief Executive Officer of MAD Philippines, Francisco “Kiko” Ramos, faculty member of UE-Manila, Cristine Atienza, President of Institute of Integrality, and Yvainne Liwag and RJ Naguit of the National Youth for Mental Health Coalition.
Eleven schools attended: Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, University of the East - Caloocan, National University, Miriam College, Manila Tytana College, San Beda College, La Consolacion College, San Sebastian College, and Our Lady of Fatima University - Antipolo. Each school had 10 to 15 representatives.
UE Bully-Free forged partnership with ASSET Inc. in the event which was hosted by its president Maria Jayzamel Vista and Ron Pancho.
