Exercise 7 of a 11-exercise giant set for quadriceps tonight (we trained back in a similar fashion this morning). We then completed the giant set three times for a total of around 30 working sets (some of which were drop sets on top of that - the first two rounds were slightly different (+/- 1 exercise) due to machine availability) with only 10 seconds rest between sets on average. Each exercise utilized various advanced training techniques in an attempt to erase any possibly of a post-workout smile. On this exercise (hack squats), we did a 9x (?) drop set (reducing weight every 3 reps, starting at 8 plates and going until we couldn’t move with no weight on the machine). And once again this was just one set of one exercise. In addition to the drops, we were forced to do these with painfully-slow eccentric AND concentric portions of the movement (pun-intended). Mind you I had a quad injury just 3 weeks ago but that should give you an idea of how many fucks I give. I came here for a reason and nothing is stopping me from experiencing that. By the third round I had full faith in Milos and realized I had to get the fear of reinjury out of my head. I had joked about seeing God in some of my previous leg workouts, today gave me a whole new perspective of what training like a psychopath truly is ... and I really like it. Definitely will be running this workout again back home.
