I’ve been listening to podcasts back to back to back because I’m obsessed with podcasts & today I listened to @emdunc on @bucciradio and I related SO much on all different levels that I was just like YES🙌🏻 the entire time!!! . . I’ve written out my goals for 2018 about five times now and I realized that most of my goals are all surface level. I want to travel as often and as far as I can. I want to increase my income. I want to get my first real adult job teaching first grade. Those things will all be AMAZING to achieve but the more I think about what I want 2018 to be like and how I want to feel during 2018 all has to do MINDSET changes I want to make. . . I want to change the stories I tell myself and others about how I see myself. I want to find peace in the present moment and practice gratitude . I want to be completely myself regardless of where I am or who I’m surrounded by. I want to stop justifying the things I believe in or want to others because of their judgement. I want to speak my truth and do so confidently. I want to release the need to control everything in my life and reap the benefits of doing so. I want to say no to things that don’t bring me joy so that I can say yes to myself instead. I want to beat my anxiety and depression through mindfulness and meditation. . . I applaud anyone who is working on themselves (mind + body + soul) because it takes initiative, consistency, hard work and patience!
