We interrupt this weeks long broadcast of "Bugs and One Amphibian" to bring you "Flowers, Just Flowers". .. ... Here is the Nuttall's lobelia (Lobelia nuttallii) discovered in the Francis Marion National Forest back in the spring. I still find them blooming, even though we are well into summer. Lobelias are hard to miss once you've learned them, because they usually feature three fanned-out bottom petals, a unique formation among all the other wildflowers.
