Hari ini dalam sejarah hidup saya. Alhamdulillah terikat satu ikatan dengan idola saya dan alhamdulillah juga menjadi mentor dan guru saya sekarang ini. He already delivered what he said to me and insyaAllah now its my turn to carry out my promise to him. Thank you again Dato Din. I will update my Bella Ammara progress from time to time and try my best bagi sebanyak mungkin ilmu kepada mereka-mereka yang amat memerlukan dan sampaikan ilmu yang Dato selalu sampaikan kepada saya (yang mana Dato tak sempat nak sampaikan dekat orang lain). I will try my best and ill keep my promise!
Who is he?
He is Datuk Kamarudin Meranun
(Net worth: $340 Millions/ RM1.45 Billion)
The two men behind AirAsia are Kamarudin Meranun, the airline's executive chairman, and his business partner, Tony Fernandes, group chief executive. In January 2016 they purchased the entire issuance of 559 million new shares in their flagship, spending $228 million. The market liked this show of confidence and the stock soared. The duo now own nearly a third of AirAsia, which is Asia's largest low-cost airline in terms of passengers carried. In July 2016 AirAsia placed orders for 100 aircraft from Airbus and 200 engines from CFM International in the U.S.; the list price for the purchases was $15.2 billion. And it's looking to build low-cost airports across the region. The air carrier, which has bases in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and India, is also looking at listing its Indonesian and Philippine operations. Fernandes and Meranun also have interests in hospitality, finance, telecom, sports and education through Tune Group, which they cofounded in 2001. @forbes
