Sunday morning before church my little Kamden couldn't find one of his toys. After a few minutes of looking for it, he came into kitchen and asked if I would help him find it. Before I could finish telling him to go look some more, Krew jumped right in and said, "Kamden, if you go say a prayer to Heavenly Father then He will help you find it. He is always listening when we pray." So the 2 of us went into his room, knelt down, and said a little prayer asking if we would know where to look. After we finished praying I told him to just sit quietly for a second and asked him if he had any feelings about where to start. He immediately said, "In Bo's room." I thought for sure he would have already found it if it was in there, but I agreed and we went looking. It took us all but 30 seconds to find it in there. We knelt down again and said another prayer, thanking Heavenly Father for helping us find it. I'm so grateful for their examples; Krew's example to me for reminding us to pray knowing that our prayers are always heard and Kamden's example of faith and to not second-guess our answers.
Alma 32:23 reads, "little children do have words given unto them many times, which confound the wise and the learned."
As much as I hope and pray these are the pivotal moments that are building and shaping our boys testimonies, they are also the pivotal moments that help strengthen and nourish mine. Their faith is so simple and so pure and serves as a great reminder to me to have the kind of faith they do. 💛
Matthew 18:3-4 Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
