Lush lashes // I got to check out @ereperezcosmetics whilst I was in Oz and bought my sis and I this waterproof mascara. I'm a massive fan of make-up that nurtures and enhances our skin. It contains avocado and sweet almond oil and no nasties. Do you have any amazing natural skin or beauty products you'd recommend?

Muesli WITHOUT dried fruit // WOO HOO. Most mueslis are too chock full of dried fruit (and hence sugar) for my liking.

Then I discovered this beauty from @themueslisugarfree. It has no dried fruit and is the perfect size to throw into my travel bag in case the plane/hotel/meeting room brekkie is lacklustre.
.
I usually make my own #gloriousgranola (loads of recipes for it on 👉gloriouswellness.com) but on the days when I've run out then I'm gonna take this with me. Altho it prob makes more ££ sense to buy a big bag and decant into a zip lock bag for on-the-go breakfasts.

Good fats // Olive oil, avocados, nuts, seeds and oily fish like mackerel and sardines make me think of all things Mediterranean - a way of eating that's full of mono-unsaturated fats and omega-3s to help keep our hearts healthy. I also notice my skin, hair and nails get a boost when I include these fats in small amounts each day. Low fat just ain't the thing anymore. We need fats to help us absorb vitamins A, D and E.

Cauli pizza // yep I'm slow to jump on the cauliflower pizza base bandwagon. Cos it sounded like a faff. And I thought the taste wouldn't warrant the faff.

I was wrong.

A cauliflower was blitzed into submission then schmooshed together with ground almonds, egg and some seasoning. Flattened then baked. Full recipe thanks to @donna.hay (I left out the parmesan). Then topped with something resembling a margherita. And it was damn tasty.

I see good things ahead // Happy 1st of the month. Hope January was kind now let's kick butt in February. What do you have planned?

I had a big break in January and had 4 weeks off. Now looking forward to getting back to my blend (it's always a blend, not a balance I reckon...) of marketing consultancy and helping high flyers to feel gloriously well. I think the official term is 'portfolio career' for mish-mashing different things together....whatever it's called, bring it on. .

Cafe vibe // I knew this was my kinda place when I walked into @cornercounter a few days ago with my sis and there was a real-life vision board plastered over a whole wall. And very photogenic it was too. Love how we can get a feel for a place the nano-second we walk in. Hope your Monday is full of good vibes.

Nope they don't // Unless you eat bucketloads of them. I got asked this question recently when I gave a talk on how to eat for amazing energy. They're full of good monounsaturated fats, fibre, plus vitamins C, E and K. They can help keep skin healthy. I eat a couple of them a week. Usually on toast of course 🥑✌

Greeeeeen // Been asked a lot recently 'should I detox?'. I'm not a big detox fan 'cos our body detoxes pretty well by itself. However giving it a helping hand by eating a varied diet with lots of colour and crunch is always a good idea. Starting by increasing your greens is an easy way to get going. Add something green at lunch and again at dinner and you'll be taking steps in the right direction.

Gluten-free dark chocolate // getting into the weekend vibe with a GF dark chocolate cake thanks to @donna.hay It's made with 4 ingredients (my kinda cake) and is deeply, darkly decadent, not too sweet. Good with a blob of @borncultured coconut yogurt alongside. The family are wolfing it down muttering sounds of appreciation with their mouths full. Good sign.

Tofu that tastes good // I've never been that into tofu, just didn't float my boat. Then I tried this @donnahay recipe without any major expectations about the outcome. It's marinated in lemongrass, ginger, garlic and lime and panfried until golden. It's a very fine thing indeed with brown rice and greens. Am almost a tofu convert. Almost.

Peas please // Get something green in at lunch and dinner to help get your #gloriouswellness on. I want to fly the flag for the humble frozen pea. They're oft overlooked for their trendier kale counterpart.
