I know we all love training the legs and booty BUT upper body is just as important. One of my favorite muscles to train is shoulders!

Keep your arms slightly bent and focus on the movement. Grab a weight where you can comfortably perform this exercise. 😝

Don’t be so focused on how far you have to go to reach your ultimate goals. Learn to love and accept yourself at each and every stage of your journey because you cannot do anything about yesterday or tomorrow, all you can focus on at one given time is TODAY.

Yeah I took a little healthy eating ‘break’ for a couple weeks, gained some weight back, but that’s called life. Did my little extra carb load vacation erase 6 months of progress? Nope 💁🏽‍♀️. So why would I even be upset at myself? That’s why I’m not even trippin.

I know my struggles. I know where I fall off. I know why I fall off. And I also know how I’m going to fix it. This journey is all about trial and error, learning from experiences, finding what works for YOU, and most importantly loving yourself through it all.

Some pictures from yesterday’s video. Hoping that as I lose weight my legs will keep their mass and stand out. They are definitely the one thing I’ve always loved about myself. I’m definitely not looking to be slim or super skinny. Not that there is anything wrong with it, just not my style. I want an athletic look. I loved my body then. I love my body now. I may not have a “picture perfect bikini body” (yet), but I’m healthy AF and getting there.⠀

How you treat & see your body now is how you’ll treat & see your body later.⠀

If you think you’ll be happy “once you lose the weight,” you’re mistaken.⠀

Take it from someone who’s been there. (Hmmm... realizing I need to post some pics of when I lost weight in my 20’s the good ol’ fashioned way: eating less less less and working out more more more. (Read: disordered)⠀

When you love the body you have - TODAY AS SHE IS NOW - you will get the body you want.⠀

When you CHOOSE to be happy...⠀
CHOOSE to see love...⠀
CHOOSE to see beauty...⠀
CHOOSE to feel good...⠀
CHOOSE to make healing your body your top priority...⠀

That is when you will begin to see the changes you’ve been waiting for.⠀

The body, health, and happiness you seek is NOT outside yourself in a diet, exercise program, weight or dress size...⠀

It’s in how you choose to see and experience yourself right now and in every minute following this.⠀

Your body has the answers you seek. But you have to quit drowning it out.⠀

How might you be ignoring your body?⠀

1. your stories about your life, body, eating, and why things are the way they are.... why you can’t stick to healthy eating... why you “always fail.” You have to be willing to examine those and let them go in order to get a new experience of your health and body.⠀

2. “Pushing through.” Burning the candle at both ends. Working hard and playing harder. Ignoring and avoiding actual rest. As in SLEEP. Not all-night Netflix, rosè, & Cheetos binges. (That ain’t rest.)⠀

3. Overeating, over-drinking, over-exercising, over-dieting with 1200 calorie restriction and/or packaged diet foods. (Weight watchers freezer section, I’m looking at you!)⠀

The toxic load (read: stress load) on your body from any 3 of the above are more than your gorgeous body can stand.⠀

To get the body you’ve always wanted, you have to love her where she stands. How do you do that?⠀

Leg Day! Trying to get these legs in shape. I had the excess skin removed on November 13th. The swelling still is there and after a full day of sitting at my desk only makes it worse. I'm just so happy I can see my draw strings again lol front side and back. I'm getting there. Omgosh. I love progress pictures because it's hard to see what I look like in a mirror. I try so hard to take the same pose too. This is September 2017 to Feb 20, 2018. 3 months almost no pop and almost two months lifting as heavy as I can. Plus some cardio. I was supposed to post this on Feb. 15 but forgot!😂Anyways, this is my progress from January 15 to February 15. I will be honest with you. The insecure part if me wishes the number in the scale was smaller, but when I look at my progress photos I don't care anymore!😄Its a slow process, when you do it the right way. Step by step, I can see the changes in my body and feel a sense of pride on how far I have come.There's many things that affect our weight and at the end of the day weight is just a NUMBER! "I've never done CrossFit in my life. I do competitive Spartan Racing and could not finish in the top 20 in the Competitive division.
