So having completed my 6 week winter shred I wanted to leave you with a few of my thoughts and experiences.
.
Previously I have always trained for performance whether that’s getting stronger, faster, endurance or power, I have never trained with aesthetics being my main focus, so this 6 week journey was going to be a whole new ball game for me personally. Ive learnt quite a bit about exercise physiology and fat loss over the years but this sort of personal experience can not be taught in a classroom or from a book!

Having transformed 1000’s of people’s health over the 20 + years I’ve been in this industry I wanted to leave you with a little take home message

More often than not, YOU are standing in the way of your progress.
Your competition is your procrastination. The unhealthy food you’re consuming. The knowledge you neglect and the negative behaviour you’re nurturing. This Monday be stronger than your excuses and start your transformation today 💪🏻

Kia ora whānau,
After 5 weeks of rehab it was time to give the old freestyle ago. The consistency of rehab exercises have been going good, and with more mobility in my shoulder the next step was to test it.
For anyone who has had a dislocated shoulder before would know how long the rehab can take, and if not rehabilitated properly could cause even more damaging effects moving in the distant future. This swim was all about building confidence again. Slowly but surely until eventually I’ll get more comfortable and then more confident.
I swam 100 metres before stopping. It was slow and steady, assessing each stroke in terms of; *Strength in my stroke - there was none🙈😂
*Pain/Discomfort - mild to moderate😳🤞
*Confidence - it grew👍🏽 After the first 100 metres I did another set✅ followed by two more sets finishing up with 400 metres in total, my confidence grew again with a sense of real achievement. I’m a long way off to where I want to be but progress is progress, however big or small it is.

This has definitely put me in a better mood than the past couple of days but I know all the hard work with my rehab will eventually pay off, it’s just a matter of time. It did help lifting my spirits sharing the pool with these two deadly ninjas too.
