Here is my review on 2nd Year (RB) Tarik Cohen.
The “Human Joystick” gets his nick name from his ability to maneuver as an East/West kind of runner. Cohen also has great hands too, totaling over 350 Receiving Yards as a rookie. The only thing holding Cohen back is his size. At 5’6” and around 181lbs he isn’t exactly built to be a 3 Down Back. His upside is limited because of the fact that he won’t be able to handle a full workload.
We do know that new HC Matt Nagy is “Giddy” about Cohen and has raved about using him all over the offense. So there is upside in PPR Leagues, as Cohen could secure that 3rd Down role or maybe even lining up on the outside or the slot. But Tarik Cohen is NOT a handcuff to Howard. If Howard got injured Cohen would not become a 3 Down Back. Benny Cunningham would likely see early Down Work, although Cohen would rush the ball a little more as well.
Tarik Cohen is his own player and with someone as talented as Jordan Howard in-front of him, he will always have limited upside. Cohen is someone to add in PPR Leagues as a 4th RB with current ADP in the Early 6th Round in PPR Leagues.
