So, I’ve never been a curvy kind of girl and my mommy body is super curvy! My body type has always been skinny, slender, then athletic, and very athletic! During my pregnancy I gained almost 60lbs, HALF my regular body weight. I ate fairly well giving into some cravings but never just junk. I exercised fairly regularly with lots of modifications and listening to my body, not my ego. I drank water like a champ and got massages and self care was paramount. Towards the end of my pregnancy waddling to the bathroom was like climbing Mount Everest. TOUGH! But a little movement when possible went a long way.
I’m almost 6 weeks postpartum and my body still feel foreign and I believe it will for a while. I’m NOT in a rush to get my “old” body back. I just want to move again and feel the endorphins from a good sweat. My new body will take shape as I take care of Loyal and myself.
