The second stop in Memphis for @bbqtourist and I was at Helen’s Bar B Q in Brownsville, TN. We sampled the pulled pork, ribs, ribs, fried bologna, polish sausage, potato salad, and cole slaw. The pulled pork and bologna were the top items! We were thrilled to be able to chat with owner and pitmaster Helen Turner, who works 6 days a week and has one of the smokiest smokers I’ve ever seen. I loved everything about this off-the-beaten-path joint.
