Active Weighted middle split. The quest to the bottom.
In this exercise I am using a combination of mobility protocols to help maximise the range of movement available and help strengthen connective tissue. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Weighted mobility , Applying a load with the KB is helping increase overall stability and strength. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Functional range conditioning , during the exercise I am consciously thinking about applying tension into my hips through using irradiation as a method to help produce as much tension as I can during the exercise. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Postural restoration (PRI) , lastly I am using specific breathing techniques to optimise the position of the diaphragm to help create further stability and expand range of movement during the exercise. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
This is extremely taxing on the skeletal muscle and nervous system. It requires a lot of practice in less strenuous variations to build up sufficient mobility. I have a still a lot of work to do,but I am enjoying the journey.
