Serious tears welled up as I opened this package from my dear friend and sister in the Lord @abigailaviva . You know those things in life that just bless your socks off and make you want to cry? Those things that come at the right moment when you need them and you just feel so loved by God because you see his faithfulness and goodness in your life? This was one of those moments. A personal card and an essential oil blend made just for me. Thank you to this sweet sister and friend who is helping me get started with essential oils. THE FEMINIST WORKOUT || Nah, I'm just kidding... this workout is for everyone because the truth is, if you have a vagina you're a feminist (and if you're a good human you're a feminist too). Unfortunately there is still a small but underlying anti-feminist culture in the fitness industry - it's certainly getting better but it's important that we (as women especially) recognise it and don't allow it to be continued. Don't be bullied out of the weights room if that is something you WANT to try or be a part of. Of course women don't HAVE to train weights but there are a truck load of benefits, for women in growing the strength that weight training can bring - in particular, the prevention of osteoporosis (which is statistically more prevalent in women than in men) because heavy resistance training has shown to IMPROVE bone mineral density. This is not me saying women should be the same as men or be as physically strong as men because that would be difficult and maybe even unnecessary from a physiological stand point - however we can certainly aim to be strong and bad ass in our own way. Mask - For a deeply purifying mask apply to damp skin and leave on for 3 to 5 minutes. Gently remove with plenty of lukewarm water. Repeat several times a week.
Avoid contact with eyes and lips.

🔹What foods do you NOT eat? // the ONLY thing on my off limits list is diet caffeinated sodas- Otherwise, nothing is off limits for a cheat meal (once a week). During the week, I try to keep foods with lots of mayo, sour cream, cheese, and ketchup to a minimum. But like I've posted before, I don't do low carb, low fat diets. I just choose healthy (complex) carbs and healthy (unsaturated) fats more often than not
🔹What is BBG?// BBG stands for the Bikini Body Guides- which are ebooks and app (Sweat with Kayla in the App Store) created by @kayla_itsines and @tobi_pearce The workouts start out with 3 days a week (focusing on legs, arms, and abs)- and are 28 minutes comprised of circuit style plyometric exercises- utilizing body weight and free weights. The guides and the app also include cardio in the form of HIIT and LISS
🔹Do you workout at home? What kind of equipment is needed?// I do both- for the first 12 weeks I did ALL my BBG workouts at home- the only equipment I used was a jump rope, a few sets of Dumbbells (ranging in weight from 5-20lbs), and a mat. Since then, I started to do more of my workouts at the gym- partly because I felt more confident, and also to have access to more weights- but you can make a few equipment purchases and continue to do the workouts at home
🔹How do you find balance between healthy eating and treats/unhealthy foods?// I've talked about this a lot but I LOVE my weekly cheat meals! For the most part I hold out on those "unhealthy" foods for my cheat meal on the weekend- but I do occasionally have a treat here and there throughout the week- I still factor it into my calories for the day, and then move on with my healthy food choices
🔹What are your macro percentages?// I don't count all macros- just overall calories and protein (120g of protein daily). The first 20 weeks of BBG I ate about 1600 calories-then I've gradually increased to about 2300 calories, which gives me about a 1500-2000 cal surplus each week/ with my cheat meal. I'll be surplus eating for a total of 6 weeks then I'll decrease calories down to a slight fat burn level for another 6 weeks- I'm enjoying experimenting with bulking and cutting! #sdangerfitfaq
