🍊 ORANGE THEORY FITNESS 🍊

so yesterday i tried out a class at @otftanjongpagar, thanks to @burncalorieswithgwen πŸ’• it was a solid workout consisting of 30 mins on the treadmill (at differing intensities) and 30 mins of body conditioning exercises and rowing! the treadmill bit was the toughest for me cause i don’t really fancy running and if i do, definitely not on the treadmill! but i guess with this, it was more enjoyable cause it a group workout and the differing intensities made it bearable πŸ˜‚
body conditioning exercises for the day were pretty similar to what i’ve been doing at F45 so not a surprise.

what makes OTF unique is their treadmill component that allows for increased fat burning effect due to elevated heart rates, which makes you burn more when you move on to the body conditioning / strength workouts.
VERDICT:
well this is for you if you enjoy running on the treadmill / want to have a change in your fitness routine / want that extra fat burning effect! i guess it’s worth a try just to gain that experience and see if it’s for you!
that aside, i did my first ever half marathon (21km) today which got me knackered but a pretty good experience for a first attempt and i managed to finish under 3 hours! now to rest and recover this coming week (I KNOW IM CRAZY THANKS TO POORLY MADE DECISIONS - well YOLO right? πŸ˜‚) πŸ™ˆ

MONDAY
Brekkie: Sweet potatoes:D
Workout: BBG WEEK 4 ARMS & ABS
Lunch: Omelette rice w/ fish fillet- it was terribly oily:(
Dinner: Hainanese chicken rice- w/o the chicken:K + hoijicha soft serve
Supper: An apple & banana & a small piece of sweet potato

#throwback to yesterday’s BFF Fitfun Hangout where we went for indoor climbing! it’s been a long while meeting these girls and definitely rekindling my love for climbing! climbing has taken the backseat ever since i’ve gotten my license and also certification for ABD. i think i’ve finally overcome my fear of the auto belay system ever since the nasty experience at climb central! Nevertheless, fun experience at #clipnclimb thanks to #hometeamns ✨ definitely an amazing weekend

This 300-rep challenge marks the end of my 2nd week of BBG! Been able to complete all the resistance workouts so far:) Gonn be stricter with myself in terms of my diet & cardio. Not to restrict but to add in nourishment to crowd out those unhealthier cravins. Runnin will be done with my buddy who's also trainin to improve his stamina. Week 3 here I comeeee:D

WORKOUT 2 OF WEEK 2. A little late but better than never:) That leaves the last workout for tomorrow. Lunch was brown rice with rice vinegar & furikake. Goin out for dinner (hopefully healthy) & a movie (Thor!) tonight.

Completed my first equipment-free challenge. And boy did that make me sweat buckets! Almost wanted to give up at the end (those dreaded tuck jumps & broad jumps) My legs really lack explosive power:/ But happy that I completed it albeit the crazy amount of time I took. Here's to more improvements and a leaner, stronger body!

Gonn have lunch now and it's gonn be double portions of brown rice with vinegar & furikake. Not forgettin some fruits for afternoon snacks too.
