My thighs that hang, arms that flap, and my deflated boobs. What triggered this negative thought process was going shopping for clothes. I don't feel comfortable in 90% of the clothes that are in style or that I think are cute. Unless I am covered with 3/4 length sleeves and down to my ankles, I'm unhappy. I feel so limited but why? Why do I care what other people think about my body? If they can see my belly wrinkles in a crop top or my wiggly arms in a tank, who cares?! Why do I care? This body is MINE. This body has carried me through 28 years of life. It has been abused, it has grown a child, it has managed to lose 140lbs with proper nutrition, it has been shamed and made fun of, but boy it has also been loved. I have the most amazing husband and daughter I could ever ask for. They love me for me and all that I am. The good, the bad, and everything in between. Just the thought of how unconditional their love for me makes me tear up. I need to start loving me like they love me. We are given one life, one brain, one body. Why do we spend so much time sabotaging the one beautiful miracle we have in this life, ourselves. We act as if this life is just a dress rehearsal and that we'll have another chance to live again. We won't, we only have this moment and aren't guaranteed the next, let's stop spending time with the negative thoughts and harsh words. Let's be happy, let's love, let's live.Β

Oh the difference your posture can make. The left image shows me sitting up straight, abs visible. The right image shows me slouched, completely relaxed. My abs have been replaced by "stomach rolls". When starting this journey I was not aware that "stomach rolls" where natural. At the beginning of this journey, one of my aims was to get the flattest stomach possible, shifting the "stomach rolls" when sitting down. I was not aware that everyone, well 95%, of the population experiences "stomach rolls" when sitting down.
Social media can be extremely misleading. It allows us to share our best parts, creating a highlight reel. There is a lot behind creating these perfected highlight reels: -Posture, when sitting up straight/standing up our bodies expand. This allows our abdominal fat to extend over a larger area, creating a flatter stomach. When sitting down your abdominal area becomes compressed, bringing your fat together. - The time of the day the image is taken plays a huge role in how your body looks. 99% of ab photos are taken in the morning. The morning your body is most likely to look it's leanest as no food or drink has gone in for a good couple of hours. You'll rarely see a nighttime ab photo shoot happening. - Flexing tightens your muscles making them more visible. - Lighting, downwards lighting is god. If you haven't come across it I suggest you find it. The lighting causes shadowing which emphasises muscle.
Social media is a blessing and a curse. It can easily make you doubt yourself and your body. Social media is overridden with beautifully posed images, we forget about the raw, real images that are as equally as beautiful. Remember to embrace your body at all times, "stomach rolls" and all. Oh and stop comparing yourself to others on social media, only compare yourself to yourself! 🌻🌻

Do you know the funniest thing about this? I actually used to think I ate A LOT of food. Always pigging out on junk to try and gain weight.. In actual fact when I first started keeping a diary of my meals I was so surprised at how low my calorie intake was! β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €Since then I have learned to build a healthy relationship between tracking my food and living my life. You don’t NEED to track to make progress but for me it just works! I think it’s a good idea if you're starting out to track your intake for a few weeks to get an idea then adjust it accordingly. I am entering this sunny season in a bulk in prep for my first ever competition next year! Soo your gal is gonna be a little on the fluffier side on the beach but WHO CARES

It's more my mental transformation that is happening right now because lets face it, I've got zero energy to work out thanks to my lovely little lingering virus. So a little story for you - my Mum came over yesterday afternoon after I had had yet another pretty awesome asthma attack just to make sure I was okay but she started doing what Mum's do - hassling you about shit haha... She is currently doing her own soul searching by going to a writing club to put an autobiography together which is pretty cool but she is also doing yoga and the teacher said something to her that she had to get of her chest to me, about me... It was these questions 'do you ever wonder why you have been so sick lately??? Do you think it is because you haven't gotten rid of some built up emotions from your childhood? Do you have anyone that you can confide in? etc etc... I told her that this platform has been more healing to my mind, soul and spirit than any Psychiatrist or Psychologist ever was, yes they opened up the wounds but they didn't help me deal with it... She then went onto say yes but that is the internet world, you need real friends in person...I preceded to tell her I have some amazing besties in my 'real' life but the ladies that I have on here I would classify more true friends than some that I have in 'real' life. You guys get me, isn't it so funny how people just don't get this community that we are so blessed to be apart of... The other thing she mentioned was yes but they don't know your past... I'm like yes that's right and they don't judge me for it either when I share it in my posts... I told her over and over that I am so much stronger mentally for having you all in my life on this journey than I have ever felt... Isn't IG just amazing sometimes... Good evening!! Today's day was super long and exausting, but my meals were spot on (almost!)
Breakfast pot at 6am, one salad at 10am and lunch salad+fish at 1pm.
The day ended really well with choir rehearsal and @itsuofficial complimentary dinner afterwards πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Is an amazing place (decoration I love it!), where you can eat burgers, hot dogs, hummus, deserts...like vegan fast food!

Woke up at 4:30 to make the 5:30 am class and as awful as it felt at the start, by the end I felt so amazing and awake, being done with my workout before 7 am!!!!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Props to everyone who does morning workouts everyday!!!!!!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ Anyways, I decided to head back to the gym for a little extra work this afternoon. Spent 30 minutes working on my hip mobility to help improve my squat form, and spent about 10 of those 30 minutes in pigeon pose, which is literally the death of me because of my tight hips 😩😡 ended with a 20 minute EMOM working on my snatch, I'll post a video later! You guys. I literally had to crawl up the stairs after finishing week 24 legs today. I honestly haven't been committed to my workouts or my nutrition lately and it's definitely showing. I compared my old measurements and pictures from last summer to now and it's super frustrating. I'm honestly mad that the progress I worked so hard for I just let slip away. So, even though I only have a week left of bbg2, I will be trying to really focus on getting back on track. Also anyone have suggestions for programs I should look at for when I finish bbg2?

Great day at the gym today, I did BBG 1 legs and then I threw in this circuit afterwards!
My legs were burnt at the end of my entire workout.
Did this circuit two times in total:
β€’ Box Jump Marches (20 reps - 10 per leg)
β€’ Kettle Bell Swing (10 reps)
β€’ Medicine Ball Slams (10 reps)
β€’ Jump Squats (10 reps)
β€’ Weighted Straight Leg Crunches (10 per leg)

First time doing a little video so hope it's alright - the video is sped up so it can all fit. Behind me in the video it was actually hailing outside!! Couldn't believe it since we are almost to July 😝😎
