Welcome to one of the goals I had last year, was to do a headstand. I accomplished it but I didn’t continue to practice it which lead me to lose the ability to do it. To be entirely honest, the last time I practiced doing a headstand was back in August 2017....almost A YEAR ago😱

When I went to Yoga On The Roof the other day, I tried doing a headstand with the help of our Yoga instructor, Jen, and I just couldn’t do it. When I saw the video of myself doing it, I honestly felt like crap cause I let go of something I was SO PROUD of learning to do. It just goes to show that if you let go of something you practice constantly, you can lose the ability to do it/not able to do it as good as you did before OR, in other words, you lose that talent!

Here’s my new found goal and what I’ll be posting here and there about: Headstands! So thank you for those who voted and supported me in posting more about my journey to get back into doing headstands (even though there was one that said no😂🤷🏼‍♀️)!

Judgement .
Sometimes it’s hard not to care or acknowledge what people think of you. I struggle with this so bad. So much that sometimes I’ve scared to be myself. But while not being my true self they are still judging me... 🤷🏻‍♀️ .
Some people will pick every part of your life apart. Probably because they are super unhappy with themselves. No one knows your life or story and you never know what someone else is going through. So just be kind - no one needs that kind of negativity! .
Just be yourself because there is no one like you. ❤️

Feeling the pressure of gravity to do these #weightedpushups but also the weight of my week! I started #bbg in the last week of February and lasted 2 weeks before life getting the best of me. I realized I had to evaluate if I could follow through with the full program and balance my whole life- my relationships, my career & my health. A few weeks later when I felt the timing to start, I went steady and here I am...I don’t feel like doing it today but that’s not the point. I started steady, and after 28 min I was sweating and feeling satisfied. #bbgcommunity #bbg2

It probably won’t hit me until the spring when dates + bands are released for next year that this was the final run. Thank you @kevinlyman for everything you have done for the fans + the bands. I do count cals/macros (albeit not super strictly) and generally focus my meals on high protein. So, I just try to work within that when eating out. Checking out the menu online is very helpful! I generally try not to eat out too much just bc it's more economical, but I woke up kind of late today soooo....😇

[To put this in perspective, my usual breakfast is 3x egg whites + half an avo + 1 pc Ezekiel bread -- about 211 cals]

I usually remove one of the english muffin buns so the actual values may be slightly different. This is NOT to reduce calories/carbs for the sake of numbers or a special diet. I simply find that if I eat too many carbs (esp simple carbs) at once, I get really sluggish right after. Simple adjustments are 🔑 😎
