💭If I had a dollar for every time someone messaged me to inquire about my breasts I would have at least $97 to put towards wine + snacks. So, let's address the 🐘 in the room shall we? YES, my breasts have decreased SEVERAL cup sizes. YES this is normal. Why? Because I've lost 65 pounds.
🚨Why does our breast size decrease when we lose weight? Here's a simple equation: Breast tissue is made of fat. (Yes we have pectoral muscles, however the breast itself is comprised of fat.) When you lose weight (especially a significant amount of weight) you lose fat. Thus, when you lose weight you typically lose some, or in my case, a lot of your breast size 🚨
💭Can you avoid this? In short, NO. We CANNOT "spot reduce" fat. What this means, is that we cannot pick and choose where we would like to lose fat from. You can't decide "I want to lose 80 pounds, but I want to keep my breasts and bum, and only lose fat from my abdomen and legs." Sorry, it doesn't work that way 🙅🏻It's totally unfair, I know – but it's the truth.
💭Your body will lose fat from the areas that it desires, in some areas you will lose fat quite quickly, while other areas of your body are far more stubborn, and seem to hold on to fat for much longer. So, in conclusion: Can you control whether or not your breasts decrease in size during your weight loss? 🍈NO. Is it illegal if I start a fundraiser to pay for my future boob job? Probably, YES.
