Today I really wasn't in the mood to workout, but in some way I did it anyway.. did it all in the difficult mode, without pausing or resting, I suppose this means my arms are getting stronger! 💪 Can't wait til tomorrow, I just want to sleep and run and relax 😴

Day 3 ✔

This morning I convinced myself to rest on day 3...thankfully an old youtube video of @chasingfitnessdreams popped up on my feed. She too had struggled on day 3, but she overcame it and did a 20mins, so I did too.
The workout wasn't great but breaking through that mental wall was exactly what I needed.
One day at a time, my choices today impact my results tomorrow. #youcan

By this stage of the program, I’m feeling the burn again. My hip flexors are on fire 🔥 and my body has definitely been feeling the intensity I’ve been putting it through for 67 days now. I still have trouble with my left knee due to the injury I suffered in the last week of #80dayobsession in my first round. Your girl is feeling it!!!! 😨

But I press on! I push through it (safely of course)! I note my body’s signals and adjust where needed. I’ve worked too hard to only come this far. And while my body is showing a little fatigue (happens to all of us in these programs - don’t lie), I’m still feeling strong and energized which is what keeps me going 💪🏼

Push through when it gets hard and when you feel like just can’t anymore. That’s where the real change happens! I’m noticing some major shred in my legs this round which I’m totally okay with considering my carbo loading nutrition plan these days 🤭

Showed up and did the thing. Many push-ups, many sit-ups, all at home while watching that 70s show 🤠 also went for a 30 min bike ride earlier with the dude and got vegetarian ramen (so good). #bbgweek3 #armsandabs done. There are SO many fun machines at @theglutelab, including this gem @pit_shark! 🦈 Part of the reason why I get so excited about going here is because my workouts are INTERESTING. If you don’t love what you’re doing, you’re not going to want to do it. And that is why you‘ll never find me at the barre. 😉

BBG workouts aren’t for everyone

If you have a similar body type to me, they won’t do much for you.

Promise

You may lose a few inches
.
BUT-it will not provide enough stimulus for a lot of women to actually improve muscle mass.

If you have high BMI and are heavy this program will be tough on your joints
.
If you don’t have an ass and you are a hard gainer, it will NOT give you one
.
BUT these workouts are phenomenal IF

BBG Week 2 Day 2 in the books. Arms & Abs days are the hardest. I have to make modifications on these days. I used to feel guilty about making modifications. I (slowly) realized that modifying doesn’t mean I’m not pushing my body. I still work just as hard and still get that sweat session in (a daily high for me). 👊🏻

That number on the scale today changed, and it made me happy. But I’ve had plenty of non-scale victories this week and that’s what matters.

Willpower. This is a weakness for me. I dream big but when it comes to following through I can be weak. I think exercising my willpower is just as important as exercising my body. My dad always told me growing up “you have to have willpower for yourself, no one else can have it for you”. Ain’t that the truth. Here’s to exercising our willpower 🙌🏼

Trying this whole running thing @mikesantarelli is so obsessed with but I get so bored... After three or so miles, my ADD kicks in! Anyone else?! I’m in search of the best local fitness studio/classes— maybe Pilates or Barre or Hot Yoga... anyone have any places they love?! (Pre-run & wanna-be blogger picture brought to you by my mom while she was walking the pups.)

To the left I only had my sweet 5 year old son Dom ❤️👦🏽, I had just turned 30 and In a new relationship with the love of my life ❤️ Isaac.
I was mostly running with little or no weight training, and my diet was all over the place 🍕🍟. To the right is five years later, 5 kids (3 I birthed and 2 bonus 👦🏽👧🏽👧🏽👧🏽👶🏽) 12 lbs lighter and a balanced diet.
I sincerely felt great in both stages of my life. I always found a way to stay active to feel that endorphin Rush 🙃💦 And that made me happy 😁
But I started seeing a big difference in the way my body was reshaping itself and the way my clothes started fitting once I balanced out my diet, started intermittent fasting and found the #bbg12weekchallenge
It’s circuit training that uses your body weight, strength training, cardio and plyometrics.
I ended up pushing the challenge beyond the 12 weeks and have now finished the #bbg24weekchallenge twice now and recently started the #bbgstronger program which uses more weights and some gym equipment for resistant workouts but still uses the same 28 minute circuit workout. I highly recommend this to anyone up for a new challenge. Anyone that has done circuits with me knows that I will push HARD and won’t stop for nobody! 🤮😰 If you want results you have to challenge yourself!! 🏋🏽‍♀️💪🏽 .

BBG Week 2 // Day 10 // Arms & Abs
I was so busy at work today. I thought I wouldn't have time to go to the gym today, but I squeezed 30 mins between meetings and completed today's circuit. #bbg12weekchallenge #bbg #bbgweek2 #bbgprogress

Well! I gave up on my bbg insta a few years ago because I was too ashamed of being unable to have enough motivation to stick with the program. I’ve started and restarted many times because I’ll “mess up” the week so I was just quitting instead of admitting I’m human and that getting back in shape is really hard. Today I’m three workouts in on BBG 1.0 Week 1 and I’m trying my best to stick with it this time!
This is Cooper and he is my favorite workout partner. He runs my warm up with me and then sits next to me during my workout with his ball until I’m done so I can play fetch with him.
