January to March! In the beginning of the year (January), I began mealprepping and macro counting. I took the left photo to document my measurements, so I can track my body's changes over the course of 2017. Today I decided to measure my progress and I can already see some results after just 2 months of eating cleaner and heavier lifting. Note that my waist has decreased a little bit, and my glutes have increased! And while it's just a slight increase, I'm proud of my progress and can't wait to see more going forward! Here are some things to note so far:
️⃣ Bodies are interesting. We are all so different, and often where you expect to see change, you don't see any, and where you don't expect to see it, you do. These things take time, and even if you don't see anything happening yet, keep going!
️⃣ Even though my stance is a little different in both of the photos, I took the measurements standing the same way (moreso the way I'm standing in the after photo). The best way to take these progress pics is the same every time.
️⃣ The myth of booty gains is real.
️⃣ Arms (at least for me) take a while to see any progress even though I've been trying to lift heavier weights and do more pushups. Bleh.
️⃣ I never thought the calf machine at the gym would do anything but apparently it did. LOL.
️⃣ Macro counting helps to both stay lean and build muscle
️⃣ You won't see progress everywhere all at once. Baby steps.
️⃣ Shoutout to my beautiful gf @spikyfit for inspiring this post! ❤️ #progress #caligirlgetsprogress #newyearnewyou #strongereveryday #fitnessprogress #exerciseprogress #transformationtuesday
