The #wundachair or #stabilitychair is an awesome way to challenge the full powerhouse. In a contemporary world, you might increase the spring load in this exercise, to help someone taller (and likely more heavy), or reduce the spring tension for someone more petit.
Classically, we usually practice with one spring top, one spring bottom and might adjust for someone that uses negative gear on the Reformer. The lesser the load the greater the challenge!
Another few options for increasing the challenge is to: 1) Move the hands halfway back on the chair, closer to the legs 2) Split the pedals 3) Work variations of hand placement, including lifting one arm off 4) Work with leg variations like coupe' or lifting one leg to side 5) Work several variations and transitions and make a flow out of it!
