I've got to give some credit to my old man. I've had him for nearly 3 years now and gah how much he has taught me. Lately you all have probably felt like I've forgotten about him, but frankly I just feel like he deserves to be a horse for awhile. He did his job for me, he gave me the confidence I needed. He will always be my heart horse and is never ever going anywhere.
He taught me to take a fall..hard, but get right back up and into the saddle. Apollo taught me to have patience, an agitated rider doesn't make for an easy horse. He showed me how to fly over jumps and dash around barrels. He taught me how to love through God's way and not my own. He showed me God's meaning in "love never fails" because frankly, it really doesn't ever fail. He taught me that love isn't the words you say, but the actions you do for the one you love.
Love is walking outside to blanket your horses and feed in freezing weather + wind yet wanting to stay out there with them.
I walked outside to do this exact thing today and Apollo walked up to me and put his face to mine and starts playing with his lip in my hair and on my nose. Animals don't have to speak to you for you to know they love you.
That's what love truly is...
Words when you don't have them💗🐴
