Too heavy to Bodyweight?

I thought so too at one point.... I’ve accepted I’m never going to be the best in the world, but that’s not to say you can’t be very, very good if you take your time, consistently follow the progressions and slowly layer strength and skill together and most importantly have some fun with it 💪🏼 There is always another level 👊🏼

I was thrilled to work up to a 5 rep max back squat PR to from #140 to #165 and each one felt amazing! Worked on my core strength a lot and going down on my squat with control and i felt the difference!-

Workout: “Southie”-
🔹45 Deadlifts 135#(M)/105#(W)-
🔹30 Hang Power Cleans-
🔹14 Squat Cleans-
I was so happy that my time improved from 8:42RX (11/25) to 5:56RX (7/16).
This workout i made sure to keep a steady pace, take those quick rests, and think of how i wanted to break up the reps 🙌🏼💪🏼-

Fighting for a smile after that energy sapping High Intensity strength workout which I like to call METCON workouts. Today’s workout was straight forward and looked like this
20 x Barbell bicep curls (25kg)
20 x barbell deadlifts (60kg)
20 x bench press (60kg)
20 x bent over plate rows (30kg)

4 rounds for time *my time = 21 mins 35 seconds
