Let's talk upper body! Women have a greater need to work the upper body. We are naturally weaker up top, so more volume is necessary! Recommended amount is 2-4 times a week. You can work the different muscles however you want but here's how I do it!
•Day 1-Chest and Back(bench press is main lift)
•Day 2- Shoulders,Triceps, Biceps( main lift is overhead press)
•Day 3-same as day 1
•Day 4-same as day 2
Don't get me wrong, keep getting those booty gains! 🍑 But don't be afraid of working those arms! You will not "get too big" by doing this, in fact it looks GREAT on women and is how you will achieve the "toned arms" look. Plus adding more muscle mass to your body will increase your metabolism, burning more fat everywhere on your body! 👌🏼

We did 3 sets of these. My triceps were trashed from all the reps we did on our chest exercises. We went from curls to close grip decline bench press. I don't let the bar touch my chest. I'm trying to put more stress on the triceps instead of engaging the chest muscle also. Boy....I was dead. Great training with @kinney6677 and Preston. As much as I like mixing up my exercises and doing various different movements there’s no denying that the BASICS work best for building muscle. Progressively overload your exercises (more weight,more sets,more reps,better form,less rest,supersets etc) and you WILL grow more muscle (providing your eating accordingly).-

3 months into my bulk and I am feeling great. As you can see, I traded my black hat in for a tan one, my pop stop for an otter box and gray sweatpants in for black ones.

I have added some muscle mass as well as strength over these past few months. I wanted to emphasize the fact that not everyone stays lean all year long if the are trying to “bulk”. In order to add muscle mass, you need to increase your calorie intake in order to meet the demands as far as your metabolic rate goes. Metabolic rate takes into consideration: age, body composition, activity level, etc. Do not be afraid to add a little fat during your bulking season, it is natural.

I trained chest and arms in the garage today and achieved a pretty good bicep pump at the end using the @gunsmith_fitness @grenadier_grips ! I finished off with a few sets of barbell curls with slow negatives and some dumbbell preacher curls. I managed to get a pretty good mind-muscle connection during preachers, the last photo is a forced rep at the end of my set! .
