Breakfast. The most important meal of the day. Also, my favourite meal.
Today, I'm having a Haitian staple: bannann bouyi ak zepina (boiled plantain and spinach). This is my childhood in a plate. Simple, yet nutritious. And probably as organic as organic can get. Plantain and spinach are grown locally.
Peeps, heaven is a mere 4.5-hour flight from Montréal.
I'll say it again: Haitian cuisine is the best! 😉
