A summer drink which originates from Punjab. It is yoghurt-based and contains sugar, spices or fruits depending on how people like it. The lassi we prepared had dried cranberries.

Hyderabadi Murgh Kachche Biriyani
The "kachche" biriyani is prepared by marinating the meat with spices overnight and then soak it in yoghurt before cooking it. It is then sandwiched between layers of basmati rice and cooked over coals. This biriyani is usually accompanied with chicken curry, mirchi ka salan, dahi chutney and salad.
